Share a private collection with specific people
Collections now have a share button — search a player by Minecraft name and share a private collection with just them, right from /dashboard/collections. They'll see it on your profile even though it's private to everyone else. If the collection has maparts you've marked private, a toggle next to their name can share those too, visible to them in that one collection only — nowhere else on the site. Unshare any time from the same popup.
Profile stats explain themselves, plus a Maps count
Every stat on a profile now has a hover explanation, the same wording used on the leaderboard. There's also a new Maps stat — the total number of individual in-game maps across everything you own a copy of, matching the leaderboard's own Maps tab.
Big numbers are easier to read
Any stat count of 10,000 or more, on the leaderboard or a profile, now shows compactly (like 10.2k) instead of the full digit string — hover it to see the exact number.
Sign in without installing the mod
The login page now offers two ways to confirm your code in-game: whisper it to our bot (just a normal /w command, no mod needed) to sign in and browse, trade, and manage your account — or run /maplink with the Maparts Link mod like before, which also connects the mod so you can upload maparts. Pick whichever fits what you want to do; you can always add the mod later.
A friendly reminder to grab the mod
If you signed in with the whisper option and haven't installed the mod yet, you'll see a small dismissible reminder pointing you to it — since that's the only way to upload your own maparts. It only asks a couple of times and then stays out of your way for the rest of the day once you close it.
Choose which notifications reach you
There's a new preferences panel on your Notifications page. Turn any category (trades, trade chat, wishlist, suggestions, follows, coins & invites, giveaways, account) on or off for the bell, independently. Anything you turn off is still saved — you'll always find it in the full list on the Notifications page — it just stops lighting up the bell.
Browser push notifications
In that same panel you can turn on push notifications, so you're alerted by your device even when the site is closed. It's per-device and asks your browser for permission first; you can turn it back off any time. If you dismissed or blocked the browser's permission prompt earlier, you can ask again from the panel.
Hide your copy of a mapart from your profile
Uploading a mapart as private, or hiding your copy from a mapart's page, now only affects your copy. Other players who have the same mapart keep their copies visible by their own choice — and marking a mapart as private no longer hides everyone else's.
Drafts publish themselves after 5 days
A public mapart left as an unpublished draft for five days is now published automatically, so a build you meant to share doesn't sit unseen because you forgot the last step. Maparts you deliberately set to private are never touched.
Search "Untitled" to find maps with no title
Typing "untitled" (or "no title") in any search box now returns every mapart that has no title set, alongside any that actually have "untitled" in the title.
"(No author)" filter option
The Author filter — on the gallery, profiles, your uploads page and the trade composer — now has "(no author)" at the top of the list, for finding maparts with nobody credited yet.
"Maps" leaderboard counts what you own
The leaderboard's Maps tab now counts the individual in-game map squares across every mapart you own a copy of, not just the ones you uploaded.
A much bigger set of tags
The tag list grew from a handful to around 80 general-purpose tags — subjects (portrait, landscape, castle…), styles (pixel-art, dithered, greyscale…), themes (fantasy, sci-fi, horror…), origins (anime, video-game, fan-art…), occasions, and more — so there's usually one that fits.
Better author suggestions from the Discord archive
The reverse-image search against the mapart-archive Discord is more reliable at turning a visual match into an author suggestion, and no longer trips over reposts that carry no name.
Partner footer
Every page now has a footer with the Mapart Empire and Vulcans logos, each linking to that community's Discord.
Ignoring someone now hides their notifications too
Previously, ignoring a player only blocked new trades. Now it also suppresses any notifications they trigger — new ones won't appear, and past ones from that player are filtered out of your bell and notifications page.
Countdown to the end of a giveaway
Open giveaways now show a live countdown to when entries close, on the homepage banner and the giveaways page — it turns red in the last hour.
See how contested a giveaway is
Every open giveaway now shows the total number of tickets sold, so you can judge your odds before spending coins.
Tags
Attach tags to your own maparts (medieval, pixel-art, whatever fits) from the fast edit or full edit — pick from the existing list of tags. You can add as many as you like.
Filter by tag everywhere
The gallery, profiles, your uploads page, and the trade composer all have a Tags filter now. Pick more than one and only maparts with all of them show up.
Suggest a new tag
Don't see the tag you want on a mapart? Suggest one from its page — a moderator reviews it, and approving creates the tag if it doesn't exist yet. Some tags can be marked 18+, same visibility rules as everywhere else.
Search by map id
Type an in-game map id into the search box on the gallery, a profile, your uploads page, or the trade composer and it finds the mapart that uses it — alongside the usual title, description, and author search.
Put your collections in the order you want
Collections are now edited right on your collections page, where you can drag maparts into any order you like. Visitors see that order when they pick your collection on your profile and choose Custom order in the sort menu.
Searchable filter dropdowns
The Author, Size, and Tags filters are proper searchable dropdowns now — start typing to narrow the list instead of scrolling it, on the gallery, profiles, your uploads page, and the trade composer.
The same author picker everywhere
The Authors field on the full edit page now works exactly like the one in the fast edit: authors show as badges, you can search the names already used across the site, and typing a new one adds it.
Fixed: sorting your uploads by Biggest did nothing
On your uploads page, picking Biggest and hitting Filter quietly fell back to newest-first. It now sorts the way you asked.
Smaller touches
The wishlist uses a star everywhere to match the buttons on cards, the current page is highlighted in the navbar, mapart cards show their details as icons instead of labels, the full edit page shows a preview of the mapart you're editing, and your account menu has an icon per entry.
Long descriptions collapse with a Read more
A mapart description over 100 characters now shows a short preview with a Read more link, instead of always showing the whole thing.
Gallery cards line up evenly
Cards in the gallery, on profiles, and in your wishlist now stretch to match the tallest card in their row, instead of leaving uneven gaps.
Earn coins for uploading and helping out
Every new mapart you upload earns coins — one per map id, so a 5x5 wall is worth 25. Having a suggested correction approved on someone else's mapart earns coins too.
Invite friends, earn coins together
Share your personal invite link. Once the person you invited uploads their first 3 maparts, they earn a coin bonus for proving they're a real player — and so does everyone up the chain who helped bring them in, up to 5 levels deep.
Giveaways
Spend coins on raffle tickets for staff-run giveaways, sometimes with real maparts attached as part of the prize. A banner on the homepage lets you know when a new one opens.
Coins leaderboard tab
The leaderboard has a new Coins tab alongside trades, uploads, ownership, and rating.
Mark ownership right from the gallery
A checkmark on every mapart card now lets signed-in players mark or unmark a copy as owned without opening the mapart's own page.
Trade history on every mapart
Mapart pages now show who's traded that mapart with whom, plus a graph of how often it's changed hands per week.
Both sides confirm a trade before it's done
A trade only moves to Completed once both players confirm the in-game exchange happened — ratings unlock right after.
Gallery sort is remembered
Your chosen sort order now sticks between visits, the same way the 18+ and hide-owned filters already do.
Type filter, restyled
The build-type filter on the gallery and profile pages is now a badge dropdown matching the sort control, instead of a plain list box.
Your maparts page is paginated
Your uploads list now pages at 50 per screen instead of loading everything at once.
See the matched Discord image, not just a link
When a mapart matches something in the Discord archive, the suggestion now shows the actual image next to it — click it to expand full-size — so you can tell at a glance whether it's really the same build.
Author suggestions from the Discord archive
New uploads are now checked against an archive of Discord posts for a possible author match. Find one, and you'll see it as a suggestion to review — accept it or decline it like any other suggested correction.
Notified about suggestions on your own maparts
You'll now get a notification whenever someone suggests an edit to a mapart you uploaded, so you don't have to keep checking back.
Leaderboard tiebreaker fix
When two players share the same rating average, the one with more ratings now ranks higher instead of the order being arbitrary.
Ignore a player
New Ignore button on profiles. Ignoring someone blocks new trades between the two of you in both directions — existing trades aren't affected.
Sort by size
Sort the gallery, profiles, your uploads, and the trade picker by biggest or smallest map, alongside the existing newest/oldest sort.
Automatic build-style tags
Maparts are now tagged by how they're built — Flat or Staircased, Carpet or Full-block — with a filter to browse by style.
See the real map count
A trade now shows the total number of individual in-game maps involved on each side, not just how many maparts.
Edit a trade after proposing it
Swap what either side is offering or asking for, as long as the trade is still pending — no need to cancel and start over.
Rate reminders
Trades you've completed but haven't rated yet are now highlighted in your trades list.
Trade content preferences
Choose whether you're willing to receive 18+ maparts in trades, or keep it strictly safe-for-work — trades that don't match your preference are blocked automatically.
A dedicated notifications page
Search your notifications, filter them by type, and mark things read or unread one at a time, instead of only the bell dropdown.
Suggest a correction
Spot something wrong on a mapart's info — wrong title, missing author, that kind of thing? Suggest a fix right from the page. The owner gets notified and can accept or decline it.
Skin faces around the site
Minecraft skin faces now show next to player names on profiles and follower lists.
Followers and following
See who follows a player and who they follow, right from their profile.
Wishlist and view counts
Every mapart page now shows how many people have wishlisted it and how many times it's been viewed.
A much better trade picker
Search and filter each side of a trade, see items your trading partner has wishlisted glow right on the grid, right-click any mapart for a quick preview, and browse your entire collection instead of just the first batch.
Follow other players
Follow anyone and get notified whenever they publish a new mapart.
Hide what you already own
A new gallery filter hides maparts you already own — and it remembers your choice next time you visit.

18+ content hidden by default
18+ maparts now stay hidden until you choose to show them, and are hidden entirely for signed-out visitors.
